What Is Hospice Care?

Hospice is a form of palliative care for those who choose to stop curative treatments and instead focus on symptom management, comfort care, and pain relief.

For those who qualify, Medicare covers hospice care in full, with no deductible. Commercial insurance plans may also cover hospice services.

Working with a Hospice Team means you have access to several types of care and support.  This includes regular nursing visits (1–2 times per week) for medical oversight and symptom management; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) visits (3–5 times per week) for personal care and daily support; chaplain visits every few weeks for spiritual and emotional guidance; social worker visits for counseling and help navigating resources; all necessary medications, medical supplies, and durable medical equipment to ensure comfort at home; and volunteer support, as requested, for companionship and caregiver respite.

What sets CareFor apart is our commitment to relationship-based care. Hospice is an extension of the support we already provide, and we build your care plan around your changing needs, not around rigid systems.

You won’t lose the caregivers you’ve come to trust. Instead, your care evolves with you, guided by people who already know and understand you. We coordinate closely with families, physicians, and care teams to ensure communication is smooth, compassionate, and responsive.

Is it time for Hospice care?

If you’re unsure whether hospice is the right step, you’re not alone. Many families come to us with questions, not answers. Whether you’ve been referred by a healthcare provider or are exploring care options on your own, we’re here to help you navigate what’s next.

Hospice does not replace care it enhances it. Your loved one will receive more support, more comfort, and more time focused on what matters most.  If you’re seeing signs like repeated hospitalizations, increased care needs, or a decline in quality of life, it may be time to talk with our team.

Our team will walk alongside you to understand your unique situation and help determine the right level of support. Hospice care isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we offer several levels of care designed to meet changing needs with compassion and flexibility:

Routine Home Care
Ongoing support in the comfort of home, focused on managing symptoms, easing discomfort, and providing emotional care through regular visits.

Continuous Home Care
Around-the-clock care during medical crises to help avoid hospitalization, manage symptoms, and keep your loved one safe and supported at home.

Respite Care
Short-term, in-patient care that gives family caregivers time to rest and recharge with confidence that your loved one is in expert hands.

General Inpatient Care
24/7 medical support in a facility setting to manage complex or severe symptoms. A safe, peaceful space for both patients and their loved ones during critical moments.

We’re here to walk with you, answer your questions, and provide the clarity you need.
