Caregiving

Our Approach

We prioritize our client’s needs, as well as their family’s. Whether you or a loved one needs a few hours of care each day, or around-the-clock care, we can evolve with your care plan. We pride ourselves on our commitment to finding the best caregiver match for every client. Our team of care managers, caregivers and support staff has over 20 years of combined experience in the industry. We are advocates, observers, and caregivers, here for you every step of the way.

Light Housekeeping

This includes tasks like dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, wiping down counters, washing dishes, changing sheets, taking out the trash, and making the bed.

Companionship

Our caregivers provide companionship through meaningful conversations and care provided to clients.

Medication Reminders

We help our clients by creating daily plans and timed reminders to ensure medications are being taken based on physician recommendations.

Toileting & Incontinence Assistance

Our caregivers can safely assist with toileting assistance and difficulties associated with incontinence or other bowel-related issues.

Bathing, Grooming, & Dressing Assistance

As compassionate caregivers, we support our clients with their personal hygiene needs including bathing and showering, getting dressed, and hair care.

Ambulation & Mobility Assistance

We gauge our client’s ability to move and whether or not assistive devices are required for them to be mobile on their own.

Meal Preparation

Maintaining a healthy, balanced diet is imperative to overall health and wellness for clients. We help ensure our clients receive proper nutrition each day.

Transportation

Whether clients need to get to a doctor’s appointment or a loved one’s birthday celebration, our caregivers are here to help them get to where they need to go.

Grocery Shopping

We make it easy for clients to enjoy all of their favorite foods in the comfort of their homes by efficiently planning meals and understanding their dietary needs.

Pet Care

Our caregivers offer general pet care services including dog walking and feeding of household pets.

What are the signs my loved one needs a caregiver?

Common signs include struggling with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, or preparing meals, missing medications, letting the house go, withdrawing from people they used to enjoy spending time with, or showing signs of confusion or forgetfulness. Falls or recent hospitalizations are also a signal worth taking seriously. If you have noticed any of these changes and found yourself worrying more than usual, it is worth having a conversation. We are happy to help you think through what level of support makes sense.

What can a professional caregiver help with at home?

Our caregivers help with the everyday tasks that make it possible for you or your loved one to stay safely and comfortably at home. That includes personal care like bathing, grooming, and dressing, as well as meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and grocery shopping. We also provide companionship, because connection matters just as much as physical care.

How is CareFor different from hiring a private caregiver?

When you hire privately, you take on a lot: vetting, scheduling, backup coverage, and liability if something goes wrong. With CareFor, you get a full team behind your loved one’s care. Our caregivers are experienced, thoroughly screened, and backed by over 20 years of expertise. We handle the matching process, the scheduling, coordinate your loved one’s care plan, and make sure there is always someone available. If a concern comes up, you have access to a registered nurse or licensed medical social worker around the clock.

Can caregiving services be short-term or long-term?

Both. At CareFor, we understand that care needs do not follow a fixed timeline. Some clients need a few weeks of help recovering from surgery or a hospital stay. Others need ongoing, long-term support as their needs evolve over time. We work with you to build a care plan that fits your needs, and we are ready to adjust as things change. A few hours a day or around-the-clock care, we can meet you wherever you are.

How do we create a personalized care plan?

It starts with getting to know your loved one. Our team conducts a thorough assessment that looks at their medical needs, daily routines, personal preferences, and family dynamics. From there, we develop a care plan that reflects what they actually need and what matters most to them. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Once the plan is in place, we match your loved one with the right caregiver and stay involved to make sure everything is working well. As needs change, the plan changes with them.
