Medical Power of Attorney
Ensure Your Healthcare Wishes Are Honored
Having a Medical Power of Attorney (MPOA) is an essential part of planning for your future. An MPOA ensures that, in the event of your incapacity, your medical wishes are honored and you are taken care of. CareFor can serve as either your primary or secondary MPOA anywhere in the state of Texas. If called upon, CareFor will step in on your behalf to advocate for care, coordinate with providers, and ensure medical decisions align with your wishes. Making decisions on your behalf is not something we take lightly. Our commitment to you is that our team will represent your wishes and preferences when and if it’s needed.

Our Approach
As your trusted Medical Power of Attorney in Central Texas, we begin with an initial assessment conducted by one of our Registered Nurse Care Managers to fully understand your medical history and document your wishes for future care decisions. Your RN Care Manager will meet with you annually thereafter to review any changes and discuss updates. We are committed to earning your trust and safeguarding your personal information, which is securely stored in our HIPAA-compliant electronic medical record system. If CareFor is your MPOA, you have immediate access to our 24/7 on-call nurse in the event you need us. Should we be called upon to serve on your behalf, we will advocate for care, coordinate with providers, and ensure medical decisions align with your wishes.
